Our strategy is designed to close the gap between intent and action, ensuring philanthropy supports lasting change. We engage with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI), corporate and private foundations, philanthropic collaboratives, advisors, family offices, and social impact investors — through initiatives such as Gates Philanthropy Partners, Proponent Labs, and others that enhance the infrastructure for GH&D giving.

Over the next five years, the majority of our work will focus on mobilizing resources for priorities of GH&D, including: expanding our approaches and partnerships to unlock more capital; growing our work across global regions; and cultivating the next generation of GH&D champions – while continuing to strengthen philanthropic ecosystems and grow giving globally.

Your Role

The Senior Officer will be a critical part of the PPT Products & Innovation team. In this role, you will lead the development and creation of flagship philanthropic products that unlock philanthropic capital from UHNW donors for global health & development at scale. We use the term “philanthropic product” to encompass a wide variety of mechanisms to unlock giving at scale, to include: collaborative/pooled funds; high impact, bespoke convenings, advisory services, pitch sessions, and/or grant competitions; blended finance mechanisms; and other innovative vehicles that successfully channel UHNW donor funding at scale.

You will also be part of a team responsible for expanding relationships, partnerships, grantmaking, and donor base of Gates Philanthropy Partners’ (GPP) – a 501(c)3 public charity affiliated with the Gates Foundation, and one of the team’s core product offerings.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the PPT team, with program strategy teams, and with external consultants, advisors, and the leaders of collaborative funds and other existing philanthropic products. This role reports to the Deputy Director of Products & Innovation and will support product development in the US as well as across the global markets that PPT serves.

This full-time role is located in Seattle, WA. Relocation assistance is available for candidates not living in the Seattle metro area who need to relocate to Seattle for this role. For a highly qualified candidate located in a US state outside of Seattle, WA and unable to relocate we may be open to a remote work arrangement. Applications accepted until 12 PM / Noon Pacific Time on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and launch philanthropic product offerings that address key gaps in the GH&D space (especially related to maternal and child survival in Africa as well as global health R&D and AI)

  • Research and analyze existing philanthropic products and make recommendations for grant or partnership opportunities to scale existing product offerings in the field

  • Manage grant portfolio and relationships with leading, large-scale collaborative funds and philanthropic products

  • Partner with PPT relationship managers and outreach leads to build and steward relationships with UHNW philanthropists who co-lead and/or contribute to the development and growth of these products

  • Manage grant portfolio and relationships with leading, large-scale collaborative funds and philanthropic products

  • Leverage the full range of capital opportunities (impact investing, blended finance models) in product design and development, as appropriate

  • Collaborate across Gates Foundation program teams to build product alignment with foundation program strategies and GPA priorities

  • Support GPP strategic planning and growth, GPP board engagement, and donor stewardship strategies

  • Steward a pipeline of innovative ideas for future product offerings, across a diverse array of sources

  • Partner with the Deputy Director on PPT’s overall products and innovation strategy and execution

  • Provide analysis and thought partnership on emerging areas of interest for PPT’s strategy

  • Ability to travel up to 20% – domestic and international

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience

  • Track record with large-scale resource mobilization efforts, especially via philanthropic funds or products designed with innovative ways to engage UHNW donors (including bequests and other planned giving tools)

  • Knowledge and experience in the global health and development sector, especially related to global health R&D, AI and/or maternal and child survival programs in Africa

  • Demonstrated success in roles requiring continued attention to detail, good judgment and the ability to ruthlessly prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in positions requiring outstanding judgment and diplomacy in communicating with a broad and diverse audience

  • Demonstrated ability to handle discreet communications

  • Good people skills and creativity

  • Experience in a role requiring collaboration in complex internal and external organizations, as part of a team effort.

  • A deep commitment to the overall mission of the foundation, its programs, and an approach consistent with the foundation’s guiding principles

  • A sense of humor and flexibility to adapt to a very dynamic environment
