Ironbridge Capital is a private equity firm that acquires and grows mid-market companies in East Africa, with a focus on manufacturing, healthcare, and agribusiness. Founded in 2011 and based in Nairobi, Ironbridge has raised two funds totalling USD 120 million and has made nine investments, five of which have been successfully exited. The firm takes majority or significant minority stakes and actively supports portfolio companies with operational improvements, governance strengthening, and expansion capital. Ironbridge Capital is regulated by the Capital Markets Authority as a collective investment scheme.
What you will do:
You will identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to grow the company's revenue and market share. Daily tasks include prospecting for new clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts. The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and proposing solutions that address their challenges. You will also monitor competitor activities, gather market intelligence, and provide feedback to the product development team. The position requires a proven track record in sales, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently to meet or exceed sales targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
