Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consultant (Mid Level)
ERM is looking for a Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consultant based in Lima, Peru to support ambitious and healthy growth within our business.
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Conduct climate-related risk and opportunity assessments, identifying and evaluating physical and transition risks and their potential financial impacts.
Develop environmental procedures and guidelines associated with decarbonization, GHG mitigation and climate risk management.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, field consultants, industry counterparts and, as needed, top-level executives, to ensure alignment with business and industry needs.
Develop and/or review Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064, ensuring completeness, accuracy and audit-readiness.
Establish GHG emission baselines and science-aligned reduction targets as the basis for decarbonization planning.
Develop decarbonization roadmaps that integrate both mitigation and adaptation strategies, quantifying abatement options and assessing their technical and economic feasibility.
Ensure facility operating and business plan objectives remain consistent with environmental and climate policies, Group Instructions (GIs) and applicable standards, identifying deviations and developing solutions to mitigate environmental and climate risk and strengthen regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or similar discipline.
3-5 years of experience in consultancy in climate change consulting services, especially climate risk.
Desirable: Understanding of current trends in renewable energy, decarbonization strategies / Net Zero planning, and Low Carbon Economy Transition.
Ability to work independently, strong organization and time-management skills.
Effective presentation and communication skills in Spanish and English mandatory
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
