Corporate Salesperson (FX RAM)- Vice President / Director
The Corporate Salesperson will be a regional FX coverage for Regional Treasury Centers (RTCs) of Multinational Corporates. The Salesperson is a strategic professional who stays abreast of market developments, regulatory changes within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their own job and the business. This role requires a recognized technical authority for an area within the business and basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and external customers. This role will have a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables, providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business, and impacting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Part of the Markets Corporate FX Sales and Solutions team, based in Singapore
- Focus on corporate clients for FX related business with independent coverage of their own portfolio of clients which will be Regional Treasury Centers (RTCs) of Multinational Corporates.
- To drive revenue growth for their client portfolio across the network in Asia
- To drive Digital solutions for FX and to increase E-penetration for the team's overall portfolio
- Deepen client relationships to grow client FX/FXO wallet share
- Originate and execute meaningful cross-sell in investments, securities, derivatives, commodities and other landmark/episodic transactions
- Will independently and/or jointly work within business product to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming for
- Work closely with various country, regional & global partners such as country & HQ FX sales, Relationship Managers, Transaction Banking partners in developing and deepening client relationships
- Partner closely with other key businesses and functions to ensure proper product deployment based on understanding of client needs
- Help foster an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
- Understand and analyze clients' businesses and exposures to provide best-suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm's reputation
- Be familiar with and adhere to Citi's Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience covering Regional Treasury Centers (RTCs) of Multinational Corporates with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value-added service and commercial skills
- Deep understanding of corporate FX products including spot, forwards, options, and structured solutions
- Strong understanding of regulations across multiple Asia jurisdictions
- An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Strong existing relationships with key decision makers at RTCs of Multinational Corporates (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
