About Clearwater Enterprises

Clearwater Enterprises is a water engineering and borehole drilling company that provides water supply solutions to residential estates, commercial buildings, schools, and government institutions. Founded in 2005 and based in Nairobi, Clearwater has drilled over 1,500 boreholes across Kenya and has installed water treatment, storage, and distribution systems for over 300 clients. The company operates a fleet of twelve drilling rigs and employs 120 technical staff. Clearwater Enterprises is registered with the National Water Master Drillers Association and holds an NCA contractor licence for plumbing and water works.

What you will do:

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment including fibre optic cables, routers, switches, and base stations. Daily tasks include conducting site surveys, pulling and splicing fibre optic cables, configuring network equipment, and testing signal quality. The role involves working at heights on telecom towers and in underground ducts, so physical fitness and a head for heights are essential. You will also prepare installation reports, maintain as-built drawings, and coordinate with the network operations centre to resolve service-affecting faults. Experience with fibre optic splicing, OTDR testing, and telecom power systems is required. The position involves travel to remote tower sites and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, send your updated CV and a brief cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the role. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within two weeks of the application deadline. Clearwater Enterprises is an equal opportunity employer and does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
