Job Summary
The Strategy Analyst supports the Bank’s strategy formulation, execution and performance monitoring by conducting structured analysis and research across the external environment, markets, competitors and internal performance.
Working under the guidance of the Head of Strategic Planning, the role contributes analytical inputs, prepares insight materials, and supports the delivery of strategic initiatives and planning processes. The role focuses on building strong analytical foundations, developing commercial understanding, and producing clear, accurate outputs that inform strategic discussions.
Job Description
Economic, Regulatory and Environmental Analysis

Support the monitoring of macroeconomic, political, legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Bank.

Gather and summarise information on external trends and developments impacting the banking and financial services sector.

Assist in preparing briefing notes and summary analyses outlining potential implications for the Bank.

Maintain up‑to‑date reference materials and data sources to support strategy work.
Market, Customer and Segment Analysis

Support market and segment analysis, including data gathering, basic profiling and sizing exercises.

Assist in analysing customer trends, behaviours and needs using available data and research.

Contribute to opportunity assessments by preparing background analysis, data tables and summaries.

Support the preparation of structured market insight packs under guidance from senior team members.
Competitive Intelligence Support

Track competitor activities, announcements and publicly available information.

Support competitor analysis by compiling financial data, product information and benchmarking inputs.

Maintain competitor profiles and contribute to periodic competitive intelligence updates.

Assist in translating competitor information into structured summaries for internal use.
Strategy Development and Planning Support

Provide analytical support to the strategy development and planning process.

Assist in preparing inputs for Short‑Term and Medium‑Term Plans (STP/MTP), including data analysis and documentation.

Support feasibility analysis and business case development by preparing underlying analysis and assumptions.

Contribute to the application of basic strategic frameworks under supervision.
Strategy Execution and Performance Monitoring

Support the tracking of strategic initiatives by maintaining trackers, status updates and supporting documentation.

Assist in compiling performance data and preparing draft performance reports in collaboration with Finance and senior analysts.

Help identify variances, trends and data issues for further review by senior team members.

Support the preparation and updating of performance dashboards and scorecards.
Stakeholder Support and Communication

Prepare draft presentations, reports and briefing materials for internal stakeholders.

Support senior team members in preparing materials for senior management and governance forums.

Engage with stakeholders professionally to gather information, clarify inputs and support analysis tasks.

Build strong working relationships within the Strategy team and across enabling functions.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Accounting, Banking or a related business discipline from a recognised institution.

Postgraduate studies are an advantage but not required.
