Graduate Assistant In Software Development at KCA University (KCAU)
Job Objective
The candidate will be responsible for providing an opportunity for recent graduates to gain academic, research, and teaching support experience in Software Development and support high-quality teaching, learning, and research within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Teaching and Learning
Assist lecturers in preparing teaching materials, tutorials, and coursework.
Facilitate discussion groups, tutorials, or practical sessions where required.
Support marking of assignments, tests, and examinations under supervision.
Provide academic support and guidance to students.
Research Coordination
Engage in research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
Help with research projects, including preparing reports, presentations, and grant development.
Administrative and Student Support
Assist departments in maintaining student records and data entry.
Support in organising departmental activities, including seminars, workshops, guest lectures and ceremonies.
Support administrative duties within the department as assigned.
Assist in organising students’ activities.
Provide student support and Services and refer them to support services as appropriate.
Supervise undergraduate interns where applicable.
Attend departmental and faculty meetings where required.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications And Experience
A Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software development or Software Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited and recognised university.
A strong academic record (at least Second-Class Upper Division or equivalent). First class is an added advantage.
Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program.
Demonstrated interest in research, teaching or consultancy
