What you will do:

This position sits within the finance department and focuses on credit control, accounts receivable management, and cash collection. You will monitor customer accounts, issue invoices, follow up on overdue payments through phone calls and emails, and negotiate payment plans where necessary. The role also involves preparing ageing reports, writing off bad debts in consultation with management, and maintaining accurate records in the ERP system. You will work with the sales team to resolve billing disputes and ensure that new customer accounts are properly set up with appropriate credit terms. Reconciliation of debtors' accounts and preparing monthly reconciliation statements for key clients are regular tasks. The company processes a high volume of transactions daily, so strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work are critical.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

Applications should include an updated CV, copies of relevant certificates, and contact details of three professional referees. Hillcrest Partners offers a competitive remuneration package, medical cover, and opportunities for professional development. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
