What you will do:

You will provide counselling services to individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of issues including mental health, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Daily tasks include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, and maintaining confidential client records. The role involves working closely with other professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and community health workers to provide holistic care. You will also participate in case conferences, contribute to programme development, and stay current with evidence-based counselling approaches. Registration with the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association and a valid practising licence are required. The position demands emotional resilience, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to helping others.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
