What you will do:
You will manage a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, including tenant relations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and lease administration. Daily tasks include responding to tenant enquiries and maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors for repairs and renovations, conducting property inspections, and ensuring that properties are well-maintained and comply with health and safety regulations. The role involves preparing lease agreements, following up on rent arrears, and managing the eviction process when necessary. You will also prepare monthly property management reports, track income and expenditure for each property, and identify opportunities to increase rental income. Experience with property management software and knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act are important.
Requirements:
- Diploma in a relevant field from a recognised institution
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be a Kenyan citizen aged 21 years or above
