Sentinel Technologies is a software development company that builds custom enterprise applications, mobile platforms, and data analytics solutions for clients in the banking, healthcare, and government sectors. Established in 2010 in Nairobi, Sentinel employs eighty-five developers, QA engineers, and product designers. What you will do:

You will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the company's premises, personnel, and assets. Daily tasks include monitoring CCTV systems, controlling access to the premises, conducting security patrols, and responding to alarms and incidents. The role involves writing incident reports, coordinating with the police and emergency services when necessary, and enforcing the company's security policies and procedures. You will also supervise security guards, prepare duty rosters, and conduct training on security awareness and emergency response. Experience in the military, police, or private security industry is preferred. The position requires physical fitness, alertness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will work on a shift basis including nights and public holidays.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
