What you will do:
You will manage the implementation of community development programmes, including needs assessments, programme design, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation. Daily tasks include conducting field visits to project sites, facilitating community meetings, coordinating with local government officials and partner organisations, and preparing progress reports for donors. The role involves managing programme budgets, ensuring that funds are used according to donor requirements, and preparing financial reports. You will also support proposal development and grant writing for new funding opportunities. Experience with community-based participatory approaches, participatory rural appraisal, and logical framework analysis is important. The position requires willingness to travel extensively within the project area and work in rural communities with limited infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
