Summit Partners is a mid-sized accounting and business advisory practice with offices in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Nakuru. Founded by two former Big Four auditors in 2012, the firm serves over three hundred SME clients across manufacturing, retail, and the non-profit sector. Services include statutory audits, tax planning, outsourced CFO support, and business process reviews. Summit Partners is registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and is a member firm of the Pan-African Federation of Accountants. The team currently stands at sixty-five professionals, including eighteen certified public accountants.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, counselling patients on proper drug use and potential side effects, and maintaining pharmacy records in compliance with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations. Daily tasks include verifying prescriptions for accuracy, checking for drug interactions, preparing compounded medications where necessary, and managing stock levels to prevent shortages. You will also handle insurance claims for prescription drugs, reconcile pharmacy sales, and prepare periodic reports on drug utilisation. The role requires strong attention to detail because medication errors can have serious consequences. You will work closely with doctors and nurses to clarify prescriptions and recommend therapeutic alternatives when required. A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya are mandatory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
