Project Lyra Swahili (KE) Culture Expert

Welocalize is launching an exciting language evaluation project and is looking for Swahili-speaking experts to join their team to train AI systems to better understand, generate, and refine language. You will evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, grammar, and cultural relevance; identify issues and provide refined, high-quality rewritten responses; create natural prompts and responses in Swahili to improve conversational datasets; and collaborate with global teams to help improve AI language models. This is a freelance contract position with a flexible schedule working from home

Requirements

Background as a teacher (preferred but not required) or experience in teaching/writing in Swahili; excellent written communication and strong grammatical accuracy; familiarity with cultural nuances in Swahili; comfortable with structured tasks including preference ranking (factuality and locality), prompt-response writing, grammaticality checks, and provision and improvement of text. Do not use VPNs or IP masking tools during recruitment as security system requires accurate regional verification.
