Sentinel Technologies is a software development company that builds custom enterprise applications, mobile platforms, and data analytics solutions for clients in the banking, healthcare, and government sectors. Established in 2010 in Nairobi, Sentinel employs eighty-five developers, QA engineers, and product designers. The company has delivered projects for the Ministry of Education, three commercial banks, two hospital chains, and several county governments. What you will do:
You will plan, execute, and close projects according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Daily tasks include developing project plans, assigning tasks to team members, tracking progress against milestones, and managing risks and issues. The role involves preparing status reports, facilitating project meetings, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels including clients, sponsors, and team members. You will also manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure that financial reports are accurate and up to date. Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK is important, and a PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred. The position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Diploma in a relevant field from a recognised institution
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be a Kenyan citizen aged 21 years or above
