Job Summary
Your Career:
You will join the Platform Automation group, the central engine driving the next generation of security operations. Our team owns the foundational automation
layer of the Cortex Platform. We are responsible for the Automated Remediation capabilities that unify detection, investigation, and response across the entire Cortex suite, including XSIAM, XDR, and XSOAR, and Cortex Cloud.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a high-impact technical contributor responsible for developing and scaling our automation ecosystems. This role requires an engineer who can translate emerging LLM capabilities into production-grade reliability. You will work on the technical foundations that enable autonomous security workflows, ensuring our platform is robust and compatible with the evolving Agentic AI landscape.
Your Impact
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will create simple solutions to complex problems and drive technical excellence.
End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for features from inception to production, including negotiating requirements and scope with Product Managers and performing comprehensive QA/validation for your own deliverables.
Scalable Engineering Standards: Implement high-quality technical standards for the platform’s automation ecosystem, utilizing advanced CI/CD governance and robust telemetry to track execution health.
Codebase Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to quickly gain proficiency in unfamiliar, complex codebases and contribute high-quality code across different repositories and tech stacks.
AI Production Fluency: Architect end-to-end AI pipelines and design, tune, and orchestrate autonomous agentic models, keeping in mind limitations like atency, hallucinations, and determinism, seamlessly embedding advanced cognitive capabilities into scalable production systems.
Prototyping & Integration: Proactively take on new product areas, building prototypes and integrating new functionality into existing systems with minimal guidance.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a technical bridge between diverse R&D teams to drive unified, complex initiatives.
Qualifications
Your Experience
5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Deep understanding of prompting and context management.
Experience in system design and contributing to complex architectural visions.
Capability to work with scalable data-driven standards and telemetry.
Strong Python skills, with working knowledge of Go.
Experience with end-to-end codebase ownership, including CI/CD, testing, and releases.
Familiarity with security and automation workflows, APIs, and building automated responses.
