Paramount Services is a professional cleaning and facilities management company serving corporate offices, hospitals, schools, and shopping centres in Nairobi and its surrounding counties. The company was started in 2006 with three cleaning staff and now employs over 1,500 workers deployed across more than ninety client sites. Paramount Services provides daily cleaning, deep cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and waste management. What you will do:
In this role you will work directly with smallholder farmers, providing agronomic advice, training on best farming practices, and facilitating access to inputs and markets. Day-to-day activities include conducting farm visits, organising farmer training sessions, and collecting data on crop performance and yields. You will serve as the link between the company and its out-grower farmers, ensuring that production contracts are understood and followed. The role requires extensive travel within the assigned region, so a valid motorcycle licence and willingness to spend most of the working week in the field are essential. You will also help farmers with soil sampling, input selection, and post-harvest handling to reduce losses. Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili are important because you will be working with farmers who have varying levels of formal education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
