13 Vacancies Open at Laikipia University (LU)

6. Public Service Commission – 1,000 Internship Vacancies

The Public Service Commission (PSC), through the Ministry of Education, State Department for Basic Education, has announced 1,000 internship vacancies under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort 5.

Successful interns will be deployed to schools at Sub-county level, where they will support digital learning, e-Learning, content development and the use of digital platforms.

Applicants must have graduated not earlier than 2022 and must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in ICT, ICT Integration in Education or Education with ICT specialization.

Applicants should also have knowledge of areas such as networking and infrastructure, applications development, information security and project management.

The internship will run for 12 months and is non-renewable. Interns will receive a government-determined stipend and successful participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

7. KNEC Online Training in Item Writing for Teachers

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is inviting qualified teachers teaching at Senior School and Vocational Level to apply for online training in Item Writing.

The training is designed to strengthen teachers’ and teacher educators’ capacity in assessment and focuses on developing quality test items for Competency Based Assessment (CBA).

The training will take place from 12 to 30 October 2026.

Applicants must be qualified subject specialists, currently teaching the subject applied for, hold relevant academic and professional qualifications, have at least one year of teaching experience and be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Applicants must also be formally recommended by their head of institution.

Teachers who have already undergone KNEC item-writing training are advised not to apply.
