About the role
Flora Food Group is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager with relevant European regulatory experience in an FMCG company to provide regulatory leadership across Europe.
Based at our Wageningen office (hybrid working), this is a pivotal role reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager for Developed Markets (Europe and North America).
You’ll collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Legal, Quality and Corporate Affairs teams to ensure our products meet and exceed compliance requirements. You’ll also help steer our marketing claims strategy and risk management.

Key responsibilities
- Guide Product Developers and Technical Project Leaders from project inception to launch ensuring regulatory compliance for innovative products and claims.
- Shape and implement Flora Food Group’s marketing claims strategy and risk management plans.
- Anticipate, identify and manage regulatory changes across Europe, and drive implementation within the business.
- Train and support the cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Sales) on the regulatory framework, e.g. product & labelling compliance, nutrition & health claims, and regulatory processes.
Cross‑functional & Strategic Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal teams (Legal, Quality, Corporate Affairs, Marketing, etc.) to address regulatory and compliance questions from authorities and customers.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear, pragmatic guidance for the business, balancing compliance, creativity, innovation and speed to market.
- Support continuous improvement of regulatory processes, tools and ways of working.

We’re looking for a skilled and influential regulatory expert, capable of navigating complex environments while keeping pace with commercial priorities and innovation pipelines.
You’ll bring:
- A Master’s Degree (or higher) in Food Technology, Quality, Chemistry or a related field.
- Prior experience in a Regulatory role and in-dept knowledge of food regulations
- 5+ years in food regulatory affairs with European experience in an FMCG company. International experience would be ideal.
- In-depth expertise in food regulations across Europe.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a strong understanding of how to influence both internally and externally.
- Practical experience with issues management, advocacy and regulatory engagement.
- A proactive, can-do mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive business needs.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
