
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Director of Product Management in Research, to own and lead our GenAI Imaging Models roadmap. You are someone who is passionate about photography, and is keenly aware of creator workflows and what they demand of GenAI imaging models. You also have a strong understanding on generative AI technologies and where they are heading. You will work closely with our Research, Applied Science and App teams to develop a bold vision, guide our strategy, and execute on a roadmap. You will exercise strong judgment on when to build our own models (Firefly), versus partner with third-party models, and harness the two complimentarily to power our creators’ workflows.
This role requires an accomplished product management leader, with a proven track record in building generative AI capabilities or products for creatives. Additionally, you are an experienced people manager who leads with empathy, and has a strong compass for hiring, growing and developing talent.
What you’ll do:

Define a vision while driving roadmap definition and prioritizations

Engage with users to develop a strong point of view on the problems and translate them into clear prioritized opportunities for the business

Identify trends in research and AI that will lead to unlocks for users and the business

Document detailed requirements, including functional specifications, required analytics, and workflows for the engineering team

Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate success, using data to identify new opportunities

What you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor’s or Masters in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience

Proven experience (8+ years) in product management

Prior experience in the generative AI space with building products

Passion and understanding of creators and their workflows

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements

Strong communication and collaboration skills, across functional and organizational boundaries

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Passion for crafting outstanding partner experiences and driving business growth through strategic integrations

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $172,400 — $334,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $231,000 – $334,500
In Washington, the pay range for this position is $211,000 – $305,500

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
