Scope of Work:

The Gynecologist- Service Provider will provide quality clinical care at IRC Zaatari camp facility /RH clinic to the patients suffering from obstetric and gynecological problems and referral of patients to the hospital in the camp when needed.

OB-GYN Responsibilities:

responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate; Performing a wide range of tests, including pelvic, and breast exams as well as proper use of ultrasound. Diagnosing and prescribing treatments for disorders and diseases. Conducting routine check-ups on patients. Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Educating patients about disease prevention and detection, and reproductive health.

Keeping up to date with current practices and innovations Applied international case definition and disease outbreak criteria in the workplace. maintaining confidentiality and impartiality; Organizing preventative medical programmers for individual patients; meeting targets set by the IRC and international criteria for specific treatments

Keeping detailed records of all patients and the treatments they receive keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments, and medications, including complementary medicine; Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development (CPD) activities Maintaining and following high-quality IPC measures and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine.

  • Five years of OB-GYN residency.

  • Board certification and government license.

  • Experience practicing medicine.

  • Expert diagnostic skills.

  • Work Experience: Approximately 2- 4 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
    1-Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, etc
    2-Awareness and appreciation of the patient and the ability to empathize with and treat others with dignity and respect
    3-An awareness of patient safety at all times
    4-An interest in others and their wellbeing
    5-Emotional balance, patience, tact and calm
    6-Ability to work fast, accurately and make quick decisions.
    7-Committed to helping refugees and working within IRC policies
    8-Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic

  • Certificates or Licenses: certificate degree Doctor of Medicine.

Four years of OB-GYN residency.

Board certification and state license

Working Environment: This position is based in Zaatari Camp.

The security situation in the IRC intervention areas is calm and the security department of IRC shares regular security updates to keep the management and staff informed about the new developments.
