Senior Ict Assistant- Job Grade Cue 7 at Commission for University Education Senior Ict Assistant- Job Grade Cue 7 at Commission for University Education Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: -Installing, updating and optimizing network systems;Monitoring Servers, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and WI-FI to ensure coverage; Coordinating with design, implementation and support of new software and features;Attending to ICT related issues, hardware maintenance, software and networking;Initiating procurement requisitions from the stores for CUE ICT department;Providing helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access or site visit;Setting up of equipment for new users and employees and on boarding them on their usages;Coordinating repair and maintains ICT equipment, and associated peripherals;Ensuring system optimization for all technology resources;Performing data backups to ensure all Commission data and systems are secure; andImplementing, installing and maintaining Commission's communication and telephone systems.Persons SpecificationFor appointment to this grade, an Officer must have: Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information Systems from an institution recognized in Kenya with four (4) years relevant work experience;Professional Qualifications and Membership to professional bodies;Relevant ICT certification from recognized certification bodies;Proficiency in computer applications; andFulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
