Job Description
The Implementation Consultant is an individual contributor responsible for managing standard to moderately complex client implementation projects. The role provides project management support to Visa clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, and payment service providers), collaborating closely with Client Success teams and client project teams. The Consultant acts as a trusted client advocate, enabling efficient technical activation and adoption of Visa products to accelerate client ROI.
- Deliver implementation services for Visa clients in the EU region, ensuring scope, expectations, and timelines are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate directly with clients to understand requirements, support new program installations, conversions, and maintenance requests, acting independently while escalating when needed.
- Manage diverse project initiatives using project management best practices and Visa’s Global Implementation policies.
- Assume full accountability for projects they run to ensure a positive outcome resulting in high NPS, faster time to product activation and completion of projects within planned timeline and budgets.
- Ensure a solid handover from CSM teams (where relevant) to expedite the project execution.
- Work with internal and external project teams to manage risks, resolve delays, and maintain project momentum.
- Maintain updates of the project plans in a timely manner and act on risks on milestones with get to green plans.
- Collaborate with Visa technology and product teams to understand new initiatives and impacts on client programs.
- Handle non-routine processing or change requests related to client initiatives, with support as required.
- Own daily workflow, proactively resolving issues and meeting deadlines, and ask for guidance as relevant.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and client teams.
- Prepare and maintain project artifacts (plans, status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs) aligned with Visa and client requirements.
- Manage internal and external project communications, ensuring consistent updates to stakeholders.
- Report project progress, accomplishments, and deliverables to management, as required.
- Support training to internal and cross-functional teams as needed.
- Support occasional after-hours work for configuration changes and post-production validation, or major project go-live.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
