Data Science Senior Analyst
Position Overview
The Evernorth Innovation Hub (HIH) is seeking a Data Science Senior Analyst to contribute to the development of AI/ML and GenAI solutions supporting specialty pharmacy operations. This role focuses on hands-on execution across data preparation, model development, and supporting components of modern AI systems.
The role is suited for individuals who are comfortable working with data and models and are building depth in applying newer techniques such as LLMs and retrieval-based systems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and validate machine learning models for structured data use cases
Perform data extraction, transformation, and exploratory analysis using Python and SQL -
Contribute to development of LLM-based features, including prompt construction and response evaluation

Support implementation of RAG pipelines, including document preparation and embedding workflows

Assist in integrating models and AI components into production systems via APIs

Execute experiments, track performance metrics, and document findings

Collaborate with senior team members to improve solution quality and reliability

Follow best practices for data handling, model development, and documentation
Qualifications
Required Skills

Proficiency in Python and SQL

Understanding of machine learning concepts and model development lifecycle

Exposure to modern AI concepts, including:

Basic prompt engineering for LLMs

Embeddings and semantic search fundamentals
-
Introductory understanding of RAG workflows
-
Familiarity with APIs and data integration techniques

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Required Experience & Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
-
3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
Desired Experience
-
Exposure to healthcare or pharmacy domain
-
Familiarity with tools such as LangChain or similar frameworks
-
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Location & Hours of Work
-
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.

Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required.
