Job Description:

The CoP will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, management oversight, and accountability for the USDA Food for Peace Title II emergency food assistance program. The COP will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of all project activities, timely and accountable delivery of U.S.-provided food commodities, achievement of program objectives, compliance with USDA Food for Peace requirements, and stewardship of project resources. The COP will serve as the primary liaison with USDA/FAS, national and local government authorities, consortium partners, private sector actors, and humanitarian coordination bodies. The position will ensure strong systems for commodity management, monitoring and evaluation, risk management, fraud prevention, financial oversight, and program accountability while promoting operational excellence and measurable impact for populations affected by acute food insecurity and nutrition crises. The COP will lead multidisciplinary teams and partner organizations to deliver high-quality emergency food assistance interventions while ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, World Vision policies, and applicable national requirements. The CoP must have proven leadership skills managing projects of a similar size and scope with prior experience effectively managing FFP-funded activities. S/he must have experience working in El Salvador or in a similar context and familiarity with the country’s social landscape. S/he must have demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff, as well as experience managing programmatic and financial reporting.
