Greenfield Services is an agricultural inputs and extension services company that supplies seeds, fertilisers, crop protection products, and agronomic advice to farmers in the Rift Valley, Western, and Central regions of Kenya. Established in 2004, Greenfield works with over 30,000 registered farmers and operates thirty retail agrovet outlets. The company partners with research institutions to test and promote improved seed varieties and runs farmer training programmes that reach over 15,000 participants annually. Greenfield Services is a member of the Agrochemicals Association of Kenya and holds an agrovet licence from the Pest Control Products Board.
What you will do:
You will manage the company's fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, tracking fuel consumption, managing driver assignments, and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations. Daily tasks include monitoring vehicle locations using GPS tracking systems, reviewing driver performance reports, coordinating vehicle repairs and servicing, and maintaining fleet records. The role involves preparing fleet performance reports, analysing costs per kilometre, and recommending strategies to reduce fuel consumption and maintenance costs. You will also manage vehicle insurance, road licences, and inspections. Experience with fleet management software, strong organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of transport regulations are essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
