Programmer Analyst, Paediatrics & Child Health -MC at Aga Khan University Hospital
Introduction
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

This is a grant funded contractual position
Responsibilities
you will be responsible to:

design, develop, and automate data collection tools and workflows using .NET (C#) and Visual Basic with development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio

develop data extraction, scraping, and processing solutions using Python with libraries such as Flask, Requests, and Pandas, using tools like Visual Studio Code for development and debugging
-
write efficient SQL queries and manage databases, including data retrieval, insertion, updating, deletion, and integration of datasets
-
develop and maintain mobile applications using Android Native Development, Flutter, with integration to backend data collection systems
-
design and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards
-
creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
-
troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports

design, develop, and automate data collection tools and workflows using .NET (C#) and Visual Basic with development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio

Requirement
You should have:

bachelor’s or master’s degrees in computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field

1-2 years of experience in the research field

proven ability to automate data processes and maintain high-quality datasets
-
strong academic or practical background in programming
-
understanding of databases, data structure, and analytical concepts
-
mature, reliable and responsible attitude
-
able to understand and follow instruction
-
ability to speak and understand job related English and Urdu
-
skills in data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation
-
proficiency in Redcap, Python, SQL, and Excel for data management tools
-
statistical & Analytical Tools: AI, Machine Learning, android Studio
-
knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
-
proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
