Key Responsibilities

Technical Supervision

  • Supervise protection case workers and provide regular technical guidance.

  • Conduct case reviews, case conferences, and quality assurance checks.

  • Ensure adherence to case management SOPs and protection principles.

  • Provide on-the-job mentoring and coaching to case workers.

Case Management Implementation

  • Ensure timely identification, assessment, and follow-up of protection cases.

  • Ensure case plans are developed and implemented appropriately.

  • Monitor case progress and ensure proper closure procedures.

Coordination and Referrals

  • Strengthen referral pathways with health, legal, psychosocial, and civil documentation services.

  • Coordinate with government departments, NGOs, and protection partners.

  • Participate in district-level protection coordination meetings.

Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and confidential case documentation.

  • Maintain secure case management databases and files.

  • Compile and submit regular program reports to the Protection Manager.

Capacity Building

  • Support training and capacity development of protection staff.

  • Facilitate learning sessions on protection principles and case management standards.

Safeguarding and Protection Standards

  • Ensure all activities follow Do No Harm, survivor-centered approach, PSEA, and safeguarding policies.

  • Promote ethical practices and confidentiality in case handling.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in protection programming, including 2–3 years in case management supervision.

  • Strong understanding of protection principles and referral mechanisms.

  • Experience working with vulnerable populations and humanitarian contexts.
