Consolidated Bank of Kenya Announces 2026 Recruitment: Multiple Banking & ICT Jobs Available; How to Apply

NAIROBI, Kenya – Job seekers in the banking, finance, and ICT sectors have a new reason to apply. Consolidated Bank of Kenya Limited has announced a comprehensive recruitment drive for May 2026, featuring more than 15 positions across technology, risk management, business development, digital banking, and branch operations.

The Bank, incorporated on December 7, 1989, was originally established to stabilize Kenya’s financial sector by acquiring nine insolvent institutions and restructuring them into a viable, professionally run commercial bank. Today, the institution boasts an independent, dynamic, and result-oriented culture.

According to an advertisement posted on May 12, 2026, applications must be submitted on or before Tuesday, May 26, 2026.


Senior Management Roles

1. ICT Manager – Business Systems & Applications

  • Reporting to: Head of ICT

  • Key Responsibilities: Overseeing enterprise applications, leading digital transformation, managing system integrations, and ensuring application security and performance.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage; Professional certifications (ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT, CISSP); Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 3 in a management position.

2. Branch Manager

  • Reporting to: Head of Retail & SME

  • Key Responsibilities: Driving branch profitability, implementing bank strategy, overseeing customer service, managing staff performance, and controlling operational risk.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; Professional banking qualifications such as AKIB or CPA(K) are an added advantage; Minimum 7 years of banking experience with at least 3 in branch management.


Mid-Level Roles

3. Business Development Manager

  • Reporting to: Branch Manager

  • Key Responsibilities: Delivering business performance through marketing bank products, managing loan portfolio quality, driving deposit mobilization, and maintaining customer relations.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; Professional banking qualifications such as AKIB, ACIB, or CPA are an added advantage; Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the banking industry.

4. Information Systems Auditor

  • Reporting to: Head of Internal Audit

  • Key Responsibilities: Evaluating automated information systems, developing and implementing the annual IS audit plan, assessing IT risks, evaluating business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT; Professional certification in CISA and/or CISM is required; Additional certifications such as CCNA or CCSP are an added advantage; Minimum 5 years of experience in information systems audit.

5. Information Security Officer

  • Reporting to: Information Security Manager

  • Key Responsibilities: Safeguarding information assets, managing cybersecurity threats, coordinating security incident response, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering staff awareness training.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems; Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or ISO 27001 are an added advantage; Minimum 3 years of experience in information security, preferably in banking or financial services.

6. ESG & Climate Risk Officer

  • Reporting to: Head of Risk and Compliance

  • Key Responsibilities: Implementing the ESG and climate risk management framework, developing sustainability policies, conducting climate risk assessments, integrating ESG factors into enterprise risk management, tracking ESG risk indicators, and preparing disclosure reports.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Risk Management, Finance, or Accounting; Professional certifications such as GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR), or CFA ESG Investing are preferred; Minimum 2 years of experience in ESG risk management, climate risk, or sustainability practices.


Officer Level Roles

7. Debt Recovery Officer

  • Reporting to: Debt Recovery Manager

  • Key Responsibilities: Managing the non-performing asset portfolio, negotiating debt resolutions, coordinating with lawyers and auctioneers, issuing statutory notices, maintaining updated debtor files, and preparing NPL reports.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or Banking; Professional qualifications in Law, Credit Management, or Debt collection are an added advantage; Minimum 3 years of experience in debt recovery within a bank or financial institution.

8. Project Analyst

  • Reporting to: Manager, Credit Analysis

  • Key Responsibilities: Analyzing construction loans and project-related loan applications, conducting feasibility studies, administering mortgages, conducting site visits, preparing Board Credit Committee papers, and providing technical support to branch credit staff.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics, Building Economics, Construction, or Engineering; Professional qualification in Project Management or a related field; Membership in a relevant professional body; Minimum 4 years of banking experience.

9. Officer – Digital Banking

  • Reporting to: Manager – Digital Banking

  • Key Responsibilities: Developing digital products, conducting market research, managing product implementation between Business, Operations, and Technology, supporting product launches, and monitoring digital channel performance.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Technology; Certification in Product Development, Project Management, or AGILE Methodologies; Minimum 3 years of experience in digital product development; Experience in Mobile Money or Payments Platform Support is advantageous.

10. ICT Officer – Business Systems & Applications

  • Reporting to: ICT Manager – Business Systems and Applications

  • Key Responsibilities: Supporting and maintaining business systems and application platforms, providing first-line and second-line user support, troubleshooting application incidents, managing user accounts and access rights, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and liaising with vendors.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering; Professional certifications in systems administration, databases, or ERP systems are an added advantage; Minimum 3 years of experience in ICT systems support or business applications management, preferably in banking or financial services.

11. Business Development Officers

  • Reporting to: Branch Manager

  • Key Responsibilities: Marketing bank products, driving deposit mobilization, developing loan facility proposals, managing customer relations, monitoring loan repayments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; Professional banking qualifications such as AKIB, ACIB, or CPA are an added advantage; Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the banking industry.

12. Product Development Officer

  • Reporting to: Manager, Product Development & Innovation

  • Key Responsibilities: Managing development of assets, liabilities, and digital products, driving business process re-engineering, executing product implementation, conducting market research, supporting product launches, and developing work plans with internal and external partners.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Commerce, Banking and Finance, or Technology; Professional certification in Product Development, Project Management, or AGILE Methodologies; Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, specifically in assets, liabilities, and digital products.
