About Redwood Associates

Redwood Associates is an insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm that serves corporate and individual clients across Kenya. Established in 2003, Redwood is licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and places business with all licensed insurers in the market. The firm handles property, motor, marine, liability, and employee benefits insurance and manages claims on behalf of clients. Redwood Associates employs forty-five staff and serves over 2,000 corporate accounts. The company is a member of the Association of Kenya Insurance Brokers and has been voted among the top five brokers in the country for three consecutive years.

What you will do:

As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will manage the front desk, receive and direct incoming calls, handle incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain the reception area. The role extends to scheduling meetings, managing conference room bookings, and coordinating travel arrangements for senior staff. You will also maintain office supply inventories, place orders when stocks run low, and liaise with vendors for office equipment maintenance and repairs. Document management is a significant part of the job, including filing, scanning, archiving, and retrieving records as needed. You will support the HR department with onboarding logistics for new hires, such as preparing workstations and distributing welcome packs. The position requires someone who is organised, presentable, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing track of details.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software and tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices

If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, send your updated CV and a brief cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the role. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within two weeks of the application deadline. Redwood Associates is an equal opportunity employer and does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
