Remote Document Naming & Filing Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a patient, methodical Remote Document Naming & Filing Assistant to rename and organize digital files into folders. You will not interact with customers, manage orders, handle logistics, create content, enter data, transcribe audio, proofread, manage emails, test products, fill forms, tag images, or schedule appointments. Your only focus is renaming files correctly and moving them to the right folder.

This role is ideal for someone who likes order, follows naming rules exactly, and does not want to make creative decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Open a folder of unorganized digital files
Read the content of each file for 5 to 10 seconds to identify its type
Rename each file according to a simple naming template (for example: date_description_v1)
Move renamed files into pre-existing folders based on file type or category
Do not delete, edit, or modify file content
Do not create new folders or reorganize the folder structure
Submit a log of files processed per hour

Requirements

Comfortable renaming files and creating folders on a computer
Ability to follow a naming template exactly without improvising
Basic reading comprehension to identify file types
Patience for repetitive, orderly work
Reliable internet connection and a computer
No previous document management experience required
No customer service, order management, logistics, content creation, data entry, transcription, proofreading, email management, product testing, form filling, image tagging, or scheduling skills needed
