The Opportunity
The way brands are discovered is changing. Search now includes answers, recommendations, and citations from AI systems. Most enterprises do not yet know how to influence or measure these.
At Adobe, we’re building the next blocks to close that gap!
As a Principal Scientist on our Experience Success Engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with the AEM leadership team to build a system from the ground up. This system converts complex, large-scale signals into detailed, actionable intelligence for our enterprise clients. This role is not detached from impact: the systems you develop will be used by domain experts working directly with customers to achieve measurable results.
Have you ever wanted to build the foundational layer of a category that doesn’t fully exist yet? This is that role!
What You’ll Do
-
Architect intelligent systems end-to-end: from data ingestion and signal modeling to agentic recommendation pipelines that surface the right insight to the right expert at the right time
-
Turn research into production: develop and ship scientific frameworks that move from hypothesis to enterprise-grade system, with rigor and speed in equal measure
-
Define what “value” means: set the measurement methodology, quality standards, and feedback loops that ensure our insights are reliable and our impact clear to customers.
-
Be a force multiplier for experts: develop systems that amplify what human domain experts can do, not replace them.
-
Mentor and elevate: raise the ceiling for the engineers around you through direct mentorship
What You Need to Succeed
-
10+ years of experience in systems thinking at scale — a track record of crafting and shipping systems that process large, heterogeneous datasets and produce reliable, interpretable outputs
-
Research-to-production credibility — you’ve transitioned innovative methods from paper (or whiteboard) to production, and you understand where the challenges lie
-
Familiarity with content optimization, information retrieval, or brand intelligence domains powered by machine learning
-
Communication as a leadership skill
-
Comfort with ambiguity, starting things from scratch before and have a method for it
