Regional Admissions Representative at American University of Nigeria (AUN)
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Regional Admissions Representative will be responsible for the recruitment and enrolment of qualified students from the Southwest Region of Nigeria, including the states of Lagos, Ogun, Osun, and Ondo, by providing admissions and enrolment information to prospective or newly admitted students, representing the university at locations such as high schools and educational programs, and by providing accurate, timely follow up to inquiries.
Duties also include systematic and efficient handling of applications, making arrangements for admissions testing, securing necessary student credentials and communicating final decision to the appropriate individuals in accordance with the policies and procedures of the University.
DETAILED LISTING OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct informational sessions for prospective students and their families.
Evaluate applications and academic credentials to determine eligibility for admission.
Participate in college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events.
Maintain regular communication with prospective students through phone, email, and social media.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless admissions process.
Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies.
Provide personalized counselling to applicants and parents regarding admission requirements and financial aid options.
Review and process admission applications and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and application statuses.
Utilize CRM software to manage and track recruitment activities.
Conduct frequent and diligent follow up with prospects and admitted students to ensure their movement through the admission and enrolment pipeline.
Provide reports as required or requested by the Director of Undergraduate Admissions or the Associate Vice President for Enrolment Management and Student Affairs.
Perform any other duties as assigned or delegated.
Requirements for the position:
Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or other any related discipline from a reputable tertiary institution. Master’s degree is a plus.
1-3 years post NYSC experience in same or similar role.
Previous experience in a University admissions, recruitment, or student services is an added advantage.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as candidate’s ability to speak French is a plus.
Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently
Familiarity with secondary schools in Southwest Nigeria
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience using CRM systems to manage workflows and relationships
Strong command of English; knowledge of a local dialect is highly valued
