You'll handle the day-to-day operations of the wellness center while also implementing wellness strategies for local teams and departments. You will deliver workshops, provide one-on-one health and fitness consultations, and ensure Church employees have the resources and follow-up support they need to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.This role emphasizes facility management, program delivery, and implementation support. While the Total Rewards Operations Manager provides strategic direction and initial consultation to department leaders, you'll focus on execution by managing the wellness center operations, delivering engaging workshops and coaching sessions, and maintaining ongoing relationships with local teams and departments. ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesWellness Center Operations Manage daily operations of the onsite wellness center in the Church Office Building, including facility maintenance, equipment management, and ensuring a clean, welcoming environmentWelcome employees warmly, orient them to the facility, and demonstrate proper equipment useProvide staff presence for potential medical emergencies and patron assistanceCoordinate with facilities team on maintenance needs for showers, changing rooms, and our third-party vendor for equipmentInstruct group exercise classes including circuit training, strength training, and stretchingProgramming & Content DeliveryLead workshops and wellness courses on topics such as stress and energy management, nutrition, work-life balance, mental health, sustainable weight loss, and health management for local teams and departmentsDeliver engaging health and wellness content including education resources, workshop materials, courses, articles, and handoutsDevelop behavior change tools and resources under the guidance of the Total Rewards Operations Manager that guide participants in making sustainable lifestyle improvementsAdapt wellness content for different audiences and team contexts as neededCoaching & ConsultationsConduct one-on-one consultations with employees to provide health and fitness coaching using evidence-based coaching methodologiesCreate exercise plans and provide nutritional guidance to help participants reach their health goalsPromote participant empowerment through shared decision-making and self-directed careDocument and track participant encounters and outcomes while maintaining strict confidentialityMaintain professional relationships with appropriate expectations and boundariesLocal Support & OutreachSupport the Total Rewards Operations Manager in implementing wellness strategies for local departments and teamsHandle day-to-day follow-up with local teams after initial strategic consultations, providing ongoing support for their wellness initiativesRespond to requests from local departments for wellness programming, resources, and supportMaintain regular communication with local HR business partners and team leaders to ensure their wellness needs are metProvide training and guidance to local leaders on available wellness resources and how to support employee wellbeing within their teamsGather utilization data, administer feedback surveys, and generate reports on wellness servicesSupport the onboarding and training of incoming Wellness Specialist interns alongside the Total Rewards Operations Manager RequirementsRequiredCurrently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's or graduate program in exercise science, dietetics, health promotion, or related health field, OR graduated within the past 12 months, OR within 12 months of receiving relevant professional certificationCommitment to complete a 12-month internshipStrong knowledge of medical conditions, nutrition, exercise programming, mental fitness, recovery strategies, stress management, and behavior change principlesExcellent communication, documentation, and public speaking skillsPatient and empathetic approach when working with individuals struggling to improve their healthSelf-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities professionallyAbility to quickly learn and apply coaching methodologiesTeam-oriented with strong customer service skills and attention to detailAbility to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods PreferredCurrent certifications in personal training, nutrition, and/or health coachingExperience instructing group exercise classesExperience presenting workshops or courses to groupsDemonstrated success coaching others through wellness behavior changes and lifestyle adoptionWhat Success Looks Like In this role, you'll successfully create and maintain a welcoming wellness center environment that employees love to use, deliver impactful workshops and coaching sessions that help individuals achieve their wellness goals, and provide consistent follow-up support to local teams implementing wellness initiatives. This individual will be involved in planning, organizing, supporting, and executing the production elements on the events team at FamilySearch, primarily for RootsTech, for both the online and in-person aspects of the conference. RootsTech is an annual genealogy conference that hosts millions of people online in over 11 languages. The event is enhanced by in-person experience with thousands of attendees, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. ResponsibilitiesActive participant on the events team, helping team members to refine and deliver inspired original content.   Assignments will include script writing, basic video filming and editing, RootsTech studio production planning, working with international talent, travel coordination, working with production crews, and managing tight schedules. Provide logistical and other support to main stage experiences, both in-person and online. Kindly collaborate with teams across the department and help execute planned assets. Help develop, publish and execute an event schedule with stakeholders from across the globe. Be on set, when appropriate, and help production run smoothly. Assist where needed with classes, speakers, exhibitors, and the expo hall. Work with genealogists and the production team to create family history reveal presentations, using power point. Write meta-data, video descriptions, and create thumbnails for mainstage content that simplifies the user experience.  Effectively manage and organize virtual content through the entire production process. Try, learn, pivot -- gather data, measure and analyze; identify key learnings, then try again using inspiration. RequirementsBachelors Degree in experience design, digital media, film production, marketing, business management, communications, or other relevant experience. Desire to be part of a high-functioning team and ready to work hard and achieve high standards. Strong sense of personal drive and motivation to produce high-quality experiences for all audiences we serve. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and specifically PowerPoint. Understanding of basic video filming and editing tools, and how to use them. Refined written and spoken communication skills. Ability to think creatively and approach experiences with fresh perspectives and ingenuity High energy, commitment to the end goals and those we serve, and willingness to celebrate success. A composed demeanor when faced with intense pressure leading up to and during a live event. Must be self-motivated with a high level of integrity. Excellent project management and time management skills. Ability to communicate, influence and lead effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to work in person in Salt Lake City, 4 days a week, with 1 remote day of work per week. Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and hold a current temple recommend.
