Introduction
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

This is a grant funded contractual position
Responsibilities
you will be responsible for:

screening, eligibility confirmation and enrolment of potential participants after the complete evaluation of the neonate with an episode of sepsis

correctly introduce the study to potential participants, administer the consent form and correctly complete all CRFs to maintain all study related data
-
monitoring culture positive samples and liason with Pathology lab to assure participant lab samples/cultures/CSF/Urine/ blood cultures are stored in the designated research lab
-
complete assessment and re-assessment of study participants to identify their care needs and resolve their day to day health related issues
-
maintaining a daily log sheet and share with the assigned team leader. Report to day to day issues to study supervisor
-
notification of any adverse events to the Site supervisor and Project manager
-
providing consultation (in person/ telephonic) to enrolled participants for study related concerns
-
being in liaison with other hospital staff and administration and follow hospital rules and regulation. Provide support in clinical care of the patients
-
being able to do shift duties (morning and night, our study site is the main AKU stadium road
willing to accept any required additional/new responsibilities when and if required by study team.
Requirement
You should have:
-
MBBS degree
-
One – two years of Clinical experience (Preferably in in neonatology and obstetric care)

ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
-
excellent team player skills
-
good communication and interpersonal Skills
-
resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
-
good computer and report writing skills.
